Sana Husam El-Azzeh
Strip – Bank - Home
LiTut

It’s the only home they have. This is where they were born. They are 8, 10, 12 years old now. But you grow up faster if you live in a place like this... In a country with a name, but usually referred to as the Bank or the Strip. How preposterous! How can the name of a country only denote the regions it consists of?
Sana Husam El-Azzeh’s project, carried out between January and April 2007, was based on one simple idea: to give the children of Palestine the opportunity to photograph their country.
39 children took part in it, thus becoming the actual authors of Sana’s work, entitled “Strip – Bank – Home”.
